A surprise hearing this Friday in federal court has added to speculation that Luigi Mangione could enter a plea, which could derail a state murder trial.
Mr. Mangione faces stalking charges in connection with the killing of an executive in Manhattan. Mr. Mangione could always change his mind at the last minute. A separate murder trial is set to begin next month.
