Democrats agreed to fund the Department of Homeland Security for two weeks while they negotiate with President Trump on restricting his immigration crackdown.
It's likely that even if the Senate passes a funding agreement, there will still be a short partial shutdown as it would need to go back to the House for reconsideration.
