 Scott Olson/GettyDonald Trump was reportedly caught on tape turning the grieving widow of a man who died at one of his rallies into a source of amusement for his dinner guests.
The recording, obtained by The Guardian, apparently comes from a private meal Trump held Aug. 10 in Aspen, Colorado. In it, the Republican presidential nominee reportedly recalled a meeting with the wife of Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed by shots fired at Trump by Thomas Crooks at a Pennsylvania rally in July.
"So they're going to get millions of dollars but the woman, the wife, this beautiful woman, I handed her the check—we handed her the check—and she said, ‘This is so nice, and I appreciate it, but I'd much rather have my husband.' Now I know some of the women in this room wouldn't say the same," Trump reportedly said. "At least four couples here would have been thrilled, actually."

Seething lawmakers and right-wing commentators latched onto the Department of Homeland Security's decision last year to award $640 million in FEMA-administered funds to assist state and local governments in dealing with a recent influx of migrants and asylum seekers, blaming the allocation for the shortfall.
"Kamala spent all of her FEMA money—billions of dollars—on housing for illegal migrants," former President Donald Trump told a rally crowd in Saginaw, Michigan.

 Reuters/Evelyn HocksteinFormer Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney took a shot at former President Trump's appearance at a rally alongside Kamala Harris on Thursday—part of the Democratic nominee's effort to woo GOP voters.
The push also includes launching two new battleground ads targeting Republicans who are turned off by MAGA and tapping a GOP aide to help lead the charge.
The pair of digital ads, first reported by NBC News, features a Pennsylvanian who once voted for Donald Trump now bucking him for coddling billionaires. The campaign is also bringing on Maria Comella, who was an aide to both former Govs. Chris Christie (R-NJ) and Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), to focus on Republican and independent women voters.
