Bill Maher Slams Cheryl Hines Trolls After RFK Jr. Backed Trump
HBOBill Maher launched a blazing defense of actress Cheryl Hines after online trolls and Hollywood stars attacked her for not speaking out when her husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. dropped out of the presidential race and threw his supported behind Donald Trump.

Maher defended the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress, who has been married to Kennedy for a decade, on his show Real Time With Bill Maher.

He said while he "couldn't support" Kennedy's run for president he did not agree with the left attacking her for standing by her husband.

White House Blasts Tucker Carlson's ‘Disgusting' Interview
Joe Raedle/Getty ImagesThe Biden administration is condemning Tucker Carlson for his two-hour interview with "a Holocaust denier who spread Nazi propaganda," calling the sit-down "a disgusting and sadistic insult to all Americans."

Earlier this week, the former Fox News anchor hosted podcaster Darryl Cooper on his show. Cooper suggested in the interview that Nazi Germany's mass murder of Jews was an accident and that the millions who were systematically murdered had just "ended up dead" at concentration camps because of poor planning.

"Giving a microphone to a Holocaust denier who spreads Nazi propaganda is a disgusting and sadistic insult to all Americans, to the memory of the over 6 million Jews who were genocidally murdered by Adolf Hitler, to the service of the millions of Americans who fought to defeat Nazism, and to every subsequent victim of antisemitism," White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates said in a statement to CNN.

Nikki Haley's Latest, Lukewarm Take on Trump: I Like the Policies, Not the Man
Jonathan Ernst/ReutersNikki Haley squirreled her way around questions on former President Donald Trump's record of sexual misconduct in a teaser clip released Friday of her upcoming appearance on CBS' Face the Nation.

Interviewer Margaret Brennan pressed Haley on Trump's Friday press conference, in which blamed his lawyers for the verdicts in two lawsuits brought against him by the journalist E. Jean Carroll—which found him guilty of sexual abuse and defamation to the tune of some $88 million in damages—and again denied knowing who Carroll even was.

"I think the focus, for me, is on policy," Haley said. "I've always said if I thought Biden or Trump were great candidates I wouldn't run for president. I ran because I thought I could do a better job," the former South Carolina Governor and Trump's (first) ambassador to the United Nations continued.

Hunter Biden Tries to Avoid Another Tawdry Trial With Guilty Plea
RINGO CHIUAn attorney representing Hunter Biden told the federal judge presiding over his case Thursday that the recently convicted son of President Joe Biden intends to plead guilty in his $1.4 million tax evasion trial.

"Mr. Biden intends to change his plea this morning," attorney Abbe Lowell told U.S. District Judge Mark Scarsi on Thursday morning.

Hunter, 54, had previously intended to maintain his innocence while conceding the prosecution has evidence against him worthy of a conviction, also known as an Alford plea, Lowell told the court.

Opinion: The Dangerous Opportunity in Donald Trump's Abortion Flip-Flopping
Photo Illustration by Erin O'Flynn/The Daily Beast/Getty ImagesDonald Trump has an abortion problem, and he's scrambling to fix it. But Trump's abortion problem isn't abortion. It's Trump.

There are a handful of issues that truly animate the former president. Abortion just isn't one of them. Trump doesn't seem to be a true believer in any direction-he's definitely not dedicated to reproductive choice or women's rights, but he's also not an anti-abortion firebrand or someone who seems to truly believe that an embryo is a person. He says whatever he thinks he needs to say in order to win the support of whoever he's courting. But because he's so disinterested in the issue, he often says all the wrong things.

In 1999, he declared himself "very pro-choice." As he made his way into conservative politics, he became (or professed to be) pro-life, and in 2016 brought the extremely anti-abortion Mike Pence on as his running mate in large part to assuage the fears of anti-abortion evangelicals. (He won his first time in part due to those voters, and quickly rewarded them by stacking the Supreme Court with judges who would go on to overturn Roe v. Wade.)
