With Democrats in control, do you think the House will curtail President Trump's agenda over the next two years?

Yes, the House will curtail Trump's agenda
No, Trump will prevail on his agenda
I have a different take.

Democratic lawmakers, set to take control of the U.S. House for the first time since 2010, said they’d be reluctant seek the impeachment of Donald Trump or issue blanket subpoenas to the Trump administration, as some of the party’s activists are demanding.

While the Republican Party controlled both arms of Congress during Trump’s first two years in office, Democrats are set to take control of the House in January after capturing a majority of seats during the Nov. 6 mid-term elections.

That means Democrats will head key House committees come the new year, permitting them to demand testimony and documents from administration officials.

Key House Democrats made the rounds of Sunday’s political talk shows, including Jerrold Nadler of New York, who’s expected to lead the Judiciary Committee, Adam Schiff of California, who’s likely to lead the Intelligence Committee, and Elijah Cummings of Maryland, who’s expected to run the Oversight Committee.

Nadler said on CNN’s “State of the Union” that protecting the integrity of Robert Mueller’s probe into the 2016 election, and possible involvement by members of Trump’s campaign, was the most important among many priorities.

  • Will the democratic controlled house protect the Mueller investigation?
  • Will democrats change the actions towards immigration?
  • Will Congress be able to get tax returns from the President?
  • How will the new chairs of critical committees affect policy?
  • With many different "types" of democrats, do you think consensus will be an issue?
  • What do YOU think the affect of a Democratic controlled House will be?

What agenda? He's done nothing but give himself a tax cut. How do you curtail zero? If you mean undo the damage he's done, they can get started.

Little Donnie will continue to try and assert his agenda but he'll repeatedly run into problems with a small piece of paper called the Constitution.

He'll bitch, gripe, moan and groan about it but there won't be much else he CAN do.

AFA the Donkeycrats are concerned, they'll give him some things he wants but they'll also attach a few things he won't appreciate and he'll have to make a decision about whether he'll go along or fight. I suspect he'll do the latter but only time will really tell.

C'mon now Michael,

You know that's not necessarily true. It'll all depend on whether or not the Senate finally grows a pair or continues to get on their knees and pucker to "his wannabe majesty".

Come on.

Trump has an agenda. Tax cuts to corporations, curtailing immigration, stock market growth, trade deals, dumping NAFTA, tariffs on China and most other trade partners, close relationship with Russia/Putin.

You may not like them, but the all add up to "an agenda"

Once again your bias is front and center with the forum question. "With Democrats in control."

Democrats took majority control of the House of Representatives. Replubicans (for now) gained even more control of the Senate and control the Presidency.

Democrats in the House are going to continue to obstruct anything and everything from getting done in government, just as they have been for the last two years.

What is maddening is that people like you are perfectly fine with that.

You probably have a lot of meetings. They have agendas. Has any of your agendas been blank? His are.

His agendas are "Send me stuff. If I like it I'll sign it. " That's not an agenda, that's lazy.

He may have results he wishes would occur, but he has no agenda to get there. " I want a wall." is not an agenda. It's a desired result.

Are your agendas a disorganized mess? Management by chaos? Can you call that an agenda?

I describe the "House" as "congress" and the "senate" as "senate"

I changed the question from "congress" to "house" to limit confusion

Not a bias, a fact. Democrats will soon be in control of the house and that can affect Trump's wishes and agenda. Just asking how much.

Not bias. Facts.
