99.9% of us would say that our family, friends and community are the source of our greatest happiness. With that as a given, what else in your life makes you the most happy. With me it's travel and photography. I have friends who love community theater, others who are single malt scotch aficionados (Andy? : )

  • What do you like kicking back and enjoying or jumping in and enjoying? Great food? Music? Sports? Your faith? Taking courses?
  • Does work give you the satisfaction that makes your life better or is is a paycheck?
  • I know some of you are retired--are you living the retirement you envisioned?
  • In your view, what is the most important elements of happiness?

We need a break from the election for a day or two. Don't worry, it's will be back : )

Part of what keeps me going... is I am NEVER happy.

Ok, dear daughter certainly counts for happyness, but other than that it is constant application of effort and seeking results that does and does not provide satisfaction.

Because it is never ending. It never ends, ever. I will work myself into cremation and my ashes will be distributed in the sea. I never want to be closed into a hole in a ground, a spiritual prison... Work until you die. Retirement will kill you faster.

People from the south are behind the command of knowledge power curve and as such it is understandable that the comprehension level is lower.

So if I was invited to your b.s. I would be too busy to attend.

Have a nice day.

Happiness is my happy pack of six rescue dogs with heterosis, -- seven, including me. Sleeping with warm, happy dogs on my legs, shoulder and besides me is better than any other way of sleeping on earth.

My many beds I've built, the last with Gorilla-glued, screwed and bolted construction, incredibly strong polyester fabric layers and 2,000 pneumatically driven staples, could even take the rottweilers, but even I have my limits. I just can't sleep with two rottweilers (200+ pounds, total) snoring atop me.

With twelve adoring eyes, eager to please (they have steak, pork chops and chicken for breakfast), life is good. It's people (yeah, like the two candidates of our species!) who are bad.

"Dogs good, people bad!" Woof, raff, arf! Wag, wag. Tummy rub.
