What consumers expect from companies Consumers distrust all industries to a significant extent, but some fare better than others, according to a global survey of consumer attitudes toward business.Consumers expect large companies in specific sectors to address sociopolitical problems such as climate change and the affordability of drugs in developing countries. Moreover, the survey reveals large variations in what consumers in different countries expect from different industries. The finding suggest that to win the public's trust, companies should tailor their approaches to suit the realities in their own industries and in the countries where they operate.
