The McKinsey Global Survey of Business Executives: Business and Society Executives around the world overwhelmingly embrace the idea that the social role of a modern corporation goes far beyond meeting its obligations to shareholders, according to the latest McKinsey Global Survey of Business Executives.Yet executives, wary of the risks such obligations bring, say that their companies aren't adept at anticipating or managing social obligations.Executives believe that CEOs must take the lead in managing sociopolitical issues and that effective tactics include ethics policies, stakeholder engagement, and transparency about the risks of products or processes.
